The price of sunscreen really kills me, because it’s the only product in our skin care routine that is an absolute necessity for everyone. The other thing that kills me is that it’s 2021 and companies are still selling sunscreens that don’t work for darker skin tones. Lack of inclusivity and affordable options can make utilizing sunscreen difficult for some folks. Luckily, there are a few sunscreens that I’ve tried throughout the years that don’t leave a white cast, and are under $20.

If you haven’t picked up a sunscreen already, make sure you do, and apply it every single day! I use the two-finger rule, and re-apply every 2 hours. I typically use a regular cream or gel based sunscreen for the first application and when I’m not wearing makeup, and reach for a spray sunscreen when I need to reapply over makeup.
