Sephora Spring 2022 Beauty Insider Sale: Glowy Skin Product Recommendations

It’s that time again…. The Sephora Beauty Insider Spring Sale is here!

Sephora is offering 20% off for Rouge members online and in-store 4/1/22–4/11/22, 15% off for VIB members 4/5/22–4/11/22, and 10% off for Insider members 4/7/22–4/11/22.

Sephora can be a little overwhelming, so I wanted to offer some guidance and provide you guys with some product recommendations. This go-around I wanted to focus on the glass skin trend. Since the warmer months are among us, now is a good time to pick up products that will give your skin a nice glow.

Side note: Feel free to use the search bar in the top righthand corner of my blog if you’re looking for more product recos that aren’t included in this post.

Okay, let’s get into it!

EXFOLIATING TREATMENTS

You are probably wondering why I’m kicking off with exfoliating treatments. The reason being is that exfoliating can provide your skin with the perfect base for makeup. Exfoliating helps target dead skin, fine lines and texture, which can help your makeup apply more smoothly. Exfoliating also brightens the skin, which gives it a nice glow. A smooth base and radiant skin sets the tone for the perfect glowy makeup look!

Here are some of my top exfoliator recommendations that you can pick up during the Sephora sale:

HYDRATING SERUMS

While hydrating serums aren’t necessary, I think it’s always good to have one in your skin care stash. After cleansing, my skin tends looks dull and dry. Hydrating serums instantly nourish and improve the appearance of my skin. Remember, we’re going for the fresh out the oven, Krispy Kreme glazed donut look. We don’t want to look like a stale donut.

Here are some of my fave hydrating serums that you can find in Sephora:

FOUNDATIONS/SKIN TINTS

This is the perfect time to switch out your heavy foundation for something more lightweight. With the way I sweat, heavy foundations during the summer just don’t wear well on me. Making it a matte formula is even worse! I find that they tend to accentuate every pore and fine line on my face. I want my skin to breathe during the warmer months, not suffocate. I love skin tints because they really do give you that “My skin, but better” look.

I know light coverage foundations can be a struggle for those with skin conditions they’re looking to blur. Now, my skin isn’t perfect by any means either, but I still do reach for skin tints. Instead of packing on layers of foundation, I actually like to use a lightweight foundation/skin tint, and spot treat with concealer where I need a bit more coverage. That way, I get the best of both worlds: breathable makeup, with the necessary coverage.

So many new skin tints/lightweight foundations launched in the past 1-2 years! Check out some of my favorite ones:

BRONZERS

I’ve always been a bronzer girl. Bronzer me up, please! I wear bronzer throughout the year, because it brings some beautiful warmth to the skin. I only use cream bronzers now, and baby!!!! They blend beautifully into the skin. If I could, I would spend hours bathing in the sun, but we all know that’s just not healthy for the skin. No worries though! A good cream bronzer gives me that sun-kissed look, and I’ll gladly fake it to keep my skin nice and healthy.

Check out these beautiful cream bronzers that you can find in Sephora:

BLUSH

I can’t believe there was a time when I didn’t wear blush. I was always afraid of blushes making me look like a clown. You know the two perfect red circles on the face? In reality, blush gives you a naturally flushed look. Now I feel incomplete without it. Liquid/cream blushes look exceptionally natural because they blend right into this skin, as opposed to sitting on top of it like a powder would. Be careful with application though! Liquid/cream blushes tend to be quite pigmented, so always start with a dot and build your way up. You don’t actually want to look like a clown.

He may not be making you blush sis, but these blushes at Sephora will:

HIGHLIGHTERS

Remember when we used to call highlighting our skin “strobing?” Well, I still follow this technique. Honestly, I bathe in highlighter. Call me Mr. Tin Man. Haha, I’m kidding. But seriously, highlighter is beautiful, because it makes you look like you’re glowing from within. The way I chuckle when someone tells me my skin in glowing. Girl, let me let you in on a secret…it’s just highlighter. I apply highlighter to the tip of my nose, cheek bones, brow bone, and top of my cupid’s bow.

Let’s get glowing with these highlighters at Sephora!:

BEAUTY TOOLS

Beauty tools can be quite pricey, which is why I think they’re worth purchasing during the Sephora Sale. 10-20% off can make quite a difference. The two beauty tools I think are worth purchasing are microcurrent devices. These help tone, define and lift the muscles in your face. Think of it as a non-invasive facelift.

See below for two amazing microcurrent devices. I have the Foreo Bear, and have nothing but great things to say about it! Both devices achieve the same goal, so pick one or the other. Don’t kill your pockets and get both. If you are looking for a more affordable tool that can achieve similar results, try out a Gua Sha:

That’s all folks! Run, don’t walk to Sephora! orrrrr you can shop online right from your phone 🤣

As always, feel free to slide into my Instagram DMs if you have any questions or would like input on a product that didn’t make this list. I got you!
